    A desperate search is underway for a Bering Cessna Air Caravan plane carrying 10 people that has disappeared amidst challenging winter conditions while in flight over Alaska. With nine passengers and a pilot on board, the aircraft was declared "overdue" en route to Nome, where it was expected to arrive at 4pm local time. The last known position of the plane was about 12 miles offshore, as reported by the Coast Guard.
