It’s been just over six weeks since Clara was born, and the sleep deprivation is unlike any tiredness I have ever experienced, thanks to consistently broken bouts of rest.

Three inmates who attacked a prison officer, who subsequently took his own life, have been handed extra time on top of their existing life sentences. Ralique Young, 24, was with other prisoners in the exercise yard of HMP Whitemoor, near March, at 5.30pm on August 22, 2023, when he launched the attack.

Staff at a Downham care home have walked ten miles for the Alzheimer's Society, raising hundreds for the cause. The team at Downham Grange Care Home stepped out for their residents - but also Bruna Morais, their activities co-ordinator, who lost her grandmother to the illness in 2015. Her nan, Helena, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2007, with her husband caring for her for eight years until Helena passed away in 2015.
