Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash that saw a driver taken to hospital with injuries. The incident occurred just before 2.30pm this afternoon on Wootton Road in Gaywood, involving two mopeds and a black Peugeot car. The driver of the Peugeot suffered an arm injury and was taken to hospital for checks. Officers are keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the incident and to identify the two moped riders, who failed to stop at the scene.

Traffic is at a standstill throughout Lynn following a crash involving multiple vehicles. Police were called to the three-vehicle crash on the A47 just before the Hardwick bridge at 2.05pm. Officers have shut off one lane of the A47 between the Hardwick and the Saddlebow roundabouts, which is currently causing delays around the area. Traffic is close to a standstill as far away as the Tuesday Market Place.

Hunstanton could have one less arcade if plans to create new business units are given the go-ahead. West Norfolk Council received a planning application last week from Keeday Leisure Equipment to turn The Beach Amusement Arcade on Beach Terrace Road into five commercial units and various communal facilities. Currently, the venue is used as an amusement arcade with a café and retail shop.

An outdoor children’s play area in Gaywood has been refurbished with a little design help from a Howard Junior School pupil. The refurbished play area, which was reopened last Tuesday, was made possible through funding from Section 106 funding made available through the nearby Florence Fields Parkway development. Following a comprehensive tendering process, Wicksteed Leisure was awarded the contract to carry out the upgrade.

Business owners are being urged to stay vigilant after a spate of incidents in which scammers tried to get them to pay fake council fees. West Norfolk Council has been contacted by three businesses which have been approached in the past ten days, but the authority is certain that more have been targeted - and it is particularly advising licensed premises to check with the council if they have been approached.
