    A woman has been left in hospital with serious injuries after a collision in a supermarket car park. Police were called just after 3pm yesterday to “reports of a serious collision” in Hunstanton. The incident happened when the driver of a white Vauxhall Mokka collided with a pedestrian and a second car in the Tesco car park on Southend Road. The driver, a man in his 80s, collided with a pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, and a silver Ford Kuga.

    A town restaurant will be closed on Monday as staff celebrate their annual party. Poco Lounge in Lynn’s town centre will be closed as the team heads to Ragley Hall in Warwickshire for ‘LoungeFest’. This began in 2013 as a celebration to thank more 9,000 Loungers staff across the UK for their year-round hard work and dedication.

    Travellers moved onto a town park earlier this week - with the situation being monitored “closely”. The group are reported to have originally stopped on land at West Norfolk Rugby Club in North Wootton - before moving onto Gaywood Park. Both West Norfolk Council and Norfolk Police are aware of the situation, although no action has been taken yet. A borough council spokesperson said the authority is “closely monitoring” the situation.

    The men who were part of a huge case into breaches of sea fishing regulations have been fined thousands of pounds between them. Numerous defendants pleaded guilty to offences such as failing to submit logbook data and accurate electronic landing declarations after fishing at Lynn when they appeared at the town’s magistrates’ court.

    Businesses in Breckland are being encouraged to apply for funding which has been made available to help them to grow, diversify, and innovate. Breckland Council, which covers Swaffham, is inviting applications for the latest round of the Rural England Prosperity Fund grants, which it is distributed from the UK Government. In the previous round, 57 funding awards were made to businesses and community groups, helping to unlock a total investment of £3.24million into the district.
