The Razorbacks scored the first run in the second inning. Kuhio Aloy raced home on a wild pitch by Marcus Phillips. Tennessee did not get a hit in the game until the fifth inning. Dalton Bargo reached on an error and Dean Curley cracked his 14th home run of the season to give UT a 2-1 lead.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Tennessee Baseball starting pitcher Liam Doyle was named one of three finalists for the Golden Spikes Award, which is presented annually to the best player in college baseball. Doyle currently has a 10-3 record with a 2.84 ERA and a national-leading 158 strikeouts. Doyle played a big part in the Vols reaching a fifth straight Super Regional. The junior picked up the win by pitching 6.2 innings against Miami (OH) in the Knoxville Regional opener.

Tennessee answered that with a seven-spot in the first inning. UT went on to win 11-3. Tennessee turned to Karlyn Pickens to start the game. The ace only had to pitch one shutout inning.
