KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Last year, Kyle Larson won the spring race at Kansas Speedway by the thinnest of margins — 0.001 seconds in the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history. On Sunday, after putting his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet on the pole on Saturday, Larson defended his victory in far more decisive fashion, leading 221 of 267 laps in winning the AdventHealth 400 at the 1.5-mile track. kAm%96 EC:F>A9 H2D {2CD@?’D E9:C5 @7 E96 D62D@?[ EJ:?8 C246 CF??6C\FA r9C:DE@A96C q6== 7@C >@DE :?

Carson Hocevar survived last-lap contact from the Ford of Layne Riggs, bounced off the outside wall and half a lap later took the checkered flag to win Saturday night’s Heart of Health Care 200 at Kansas Speedway. The victory was Hocevar’s first of the season in his second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start this year, his first at the 1.5-mile track and the fifth of his career. But Hocevar had to keep the fast-closing truck of Riggs behind him.

In terms of points @KyleLarsonRacin gained nothing by returning to the track. 37th and 38th both worth one point in #NASCAR scoring system. It was good practice for future calamity for crew to effect repairs. #Darlington75 #Goodyear400

Congratulations to @stevephelps and Steve O'Donnell on their new, elevated roles with NASCAR! #NASCAR https://t.co/67AQXLLByT

Just saw the call reversed in the SC-Maryland women's game. The Maryland player was standing out of bounds, so why does it matter whether she touched the ball or not. Isn't she considered out of bounds at that point?
