Leading the way for the Longhorns was none other than West Des Moines native Teagan Kavan. Through four games, Kavan has struck out 15 batters with only one earned run allowed. The sophomore standout has been an important part of the Longhorns' historic back-to-back appearances in the Women's College World Series championship.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Eagles cornerback and Super Bowl champion Cooper DeJean hosted a celebrity charity softball event on Sunday to benefit the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. The rosters consisted of NFL stars and Hawkeye football greats, from Eagles wide receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith to former Hawkeye and Broncos cornerback Riley Moss. "He's my boy," said Moss. "He came into Iowa and I kind of took him under my wing, and now he's soaring, if you could tell.

Jobe is a former PCC Champion, taking the crown back in 2017. Although originally from Oklahoma City and currently lives in Texas, he says coming to the tournament is somewhat of a homecoming for him.

When he's not out on the course, Mayfair is on a mission to raise awareness about autism. He was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in 2019 after his wife noticed some things about his behavior and recommended he be tested. Mayfair said he was against it at first.
