The following is an update from the Idaho Falls Police Department: Shortly before 7 a.m. this morning, June 7, Idaho Falls Police Officers responded to a residence on the corner of South Lee Avenue and 7th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and found individuals involved in the incident. One adult male was transported to a local hospital where he was declared deceased. Other individuals involved have been cooperative with the investigation.

IDAHO FALLS – The Idaho Transportation Department is kicking off three different construction projects in eastern Idaho beginning Monday. The first is happening in Rigby at exit 320. Traffic leaving U.S. Highway 20 to access South Rigby will be detoured while the exit is closed for bridge repairs. The closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and last only the one day. Travelers can take exit 322 (North Rigby) or exit 318 (County Line) as detours.

IDAHO FALLS – A new bill that reduces the cost of Medicaid eliminates a program doctors use to coordinate the healthcare needs of their patients and replaces it with managed care. Doctors say the change will have a detrimental effect on their ability to treat patients. House Bill 345, which was signed into law by Gov. Brad Little on March 19, aims to strengthen Idaho’s Medicaid program and ensure its longterm sustainability, according to its statement of purpose.
