The Rainbow Trust building officially reopened

On Friday, 21 March, The Rainbow Trust building in Chepstow was officially reopened following refurbishment. Funded by Monmouthshire County Council, Chepstow Town Council, the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Placemaking Grant Programme and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The building, which was in a poor state, has been transformed into a vital resource for the community.

Work to commence on resurfacing of Wye Bridge in April 2025

Monmouthshire County Council is set to commence work on resurfacing the Wye Bridge, Monmouth, on 22 April 2025. The work is expected to last 10 weeks and will be undertaken overnight, Sunday to Thursday, to minimise disruption. Between 8pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday, the bridge will be closed to traffic, except for the emergency services. Pedestrian access will be available throughout the project. A signed diversion will be in place for non-emergency service vehicles.
