Joey Aguilar’s transition to Tennessee could be receiving a boost. According to a report from ESPN’s Chris Low on Thursday evening, the former Appalachian State/UCLA quarterback could potentially join the Tennessee program “earlier than expected.” While this is good news for UT’s team on its own, it also follows discussion earlier this week that Aguilar could have his arrival to Rocky Top delayed to mid-June due to UCLA’s academic quarters system.

According to Tennessee Athletics, a total of 1,234,843 fans attended 41 regular-season home games in Knoxville this past year across three sports – football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball. Tennessee’s 1,234,843 fans led the nation in both cumulative attendance and average attendance.

Tennessee is just a few of years away from achieving 400 all-time NFL Draft picks (dating back to 1936), especially considering the rate of NFL additions it has had since the arrival of Josh Heupel in 2021. Entering the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday night, Tennessee has 387 all-time NFL Draft picks. Thirteen of those picks have come during the Heupel era (2022-2024), which is the highest in a three-year span that Tennessee has had since 2006-2008.

Tennessee has made the final four for linebacker Brayden Rouse, according to a report from On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday. Rouse’s top four includes Texas, Michigan, Alabama, and Tennessee. Fawcett’s report also states that Rouse will take an official visit to each program this spring with Tennessee receiving the final one. Rouse will go to Alabama on May 30, Michigan on June 6, Texas on June 13, and Tennessee on June 20.

Tennessee picked up its third transfer portal addition on Wednesday with former LSU forward Jersey Wolfenbarger. The rising senior is Tennessee’s third portal addition this offseason, alongside UCLA forward Janiah Barker and SMU guard Nya Robertson. Standing at 6-foot-5, Wolfenbarger helps address the Lady Vols’ size need in the portal. Barker also helps in that spot as a 6-foot-4 forward. Wolfenbarger spent her first two seasons at Arkansas and averaged 5.7 points per game with the Razorbacks.
