Seeing what a powerful hurricane can do on the ground is one thing. Seeing the devastation from high above can take the shock and awe to the next level. The News-Press drone pilot, Ricardo Rolon, took video from above the scarred landscape of North Fort Myers where a tornado reportedly touched down in a community there. The results were blown away roof tops and extensive damage to many homes.

Hurricane Helene or Sand Storm? Drone video from Sanibel and Captiva captures the big messHurricane Helene ended up being more like a Sand Storm. All along the Southwest Florida coastline and further north in places like Clearwater and Tampa, the sand this latest hurricane pushed onshore was one of the bigger stories.
