They may look cute and cuddly, but river otters can be dangerous. One person visiting Seminole County's Wekiva Island found that out last week when they were bit by one, according to report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. FWC responded to the bite report on May 29. The individual was evaluated by emergency personnel on site and transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to an FWC report.
