According to the ALA in WV, the Trump administration and West Virginia state leaders have eliminated funding support for tobacco education programs such as Raze. Chaste Barclay, Director of Health Promotions for the ALA in WV, called the news devastating because West Virginia has one of the highest tobacco use rates in the country.

    HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) — On Friday, the Beverly Hills Church of Christ in Huntington caught fire, destroying the back end of the building and damaging part of the sanctuary. The affected area is where the main entrance is and where they hold Sunday school, but Pastor Dearl Hutchinson said they will persevere. “My thoughts and feelings was not good, of course. But everything is temporary. The buildings are temporary. We are the church,” Hutchinson said.
