SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Weather conditions forecast for the Sacramento region will experience heat not seen in the area since early October of 2024. Records will be challenged for the day and for the month when widespread early heat affects the area on Friday and Saturday this week. Cooling begins Sunday with temperatures dropping back to the 80s. When This upcoming Friday and Saturday, the mercury will rise to numbers not seen so far in 2025.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The weather across the Sacramento region during Memorial Day Weekend should be cooler than we've experienced in the past few weeks. More often than not a typical day so far this May in 2025 it's been a hotter than average day. Fifteen of the 22 days so far in May have been considered above average for temperatures, with only about a week of days considered average or below.

So far in 2025 we have seen many days in the mid and upper 80s and a few above 90 degrees, but many have been below that mark. On Wednesday the Sacramento region will see widespread 90s for highs with broad cooling going into the weekend. May has seen a handful of days in the 90s, but also many days below average. May is known as a month of transition with an occasional late-season storm or cooldown combined with early bouts of pre-spring heat.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Weather conditions forecast for the Sacramento region will create a fire risk for the valley locations. High pressure has set up in the area, delivering strong north winds that are dry and gusty. Vegetation is dry enough for a fire risk during the day. When Red Flag conditions will be found for all locations below 1,000 feet until 8 pm Monday evening.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — May continues to see lots of changes day to day and after a brief warm up to kick off the weekend, we will see cooling, showers and even a fire risk to cap things off. Warmer weather will move in Friday and bring the temperatures above average but not record breaking. Records this time of year are in the upper 90s up to 100 degrees and we stay far away from those numbers over the next 10 days. Most of the day will be fine with temps in the 60s and 70s and low 80s.
