Changes to the Apopka City Charter have been a hot-button topic for almost two years. Unfortunately, it has also been in limbo since the workshops ended earlier this year. Then, when it finally appeared on the agenda at the December 4th City Council meeting, progress was again delayed when the Council chose to table the item after introducing an additional issue into the discussion. “We’ve been kind of talking about the City Charter for almost 2 years now,” Commissioner Diane Velaquez said.

The Texas A&M School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts will add a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance degree starting in the fall semester. The major was recently approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The new major joins the school’s existing majors in Dance Science; Performance and Visual Studies; and Visualization. The school recently added a new Theatre major, which is also beginning in the fall.

WATERVILLE, Minn. (KEYC) -The Waterville Indians are dedicating this season to a beloved teammate. Shane Sellner passed away suddenly this last month after going into cardiac arrest. Since then, community support continues pouring in for his family. Sellner starred at Mankato Loyola during his high school days before continuing his baseball career at Southwest Minnesota State. Shortly after he passed away, his wife Amanda gave birth to their second son.
