Obviously, we had all heard gossip over many years. But you can’t just go public on gossip, and Alan Jones was known to be very litigious. It is now for a court, and possibly a jury, to determine if Jones is guilty of the offences charged. So, those lifelong rumours about Alan Jones have reached the next stage. He has been charged with sexual offences against eight (allegedly nine) young men and will appear in a Sydney court on December 18.

Angered by the costs spent on the cleanup of the River Seine, which remains unswimmable, Parisians have suggested a unique form of protest. The River Seine has been a dumping ground for centuries, for all sorts of items and detritus; laundry suds, human waste, even animal parts tossed by mediaeval butchers. Swimming in it has been banned for a century. Of course we all know that now; with the Paris Olympics just a few weeks away, the cleanup has been the focus.

Police are working to find the source of over 250kilos’ worth of cocaine packages that have washed up on NSW’s beaches since last Christmas. The mystery of the millions of dollars’ worth of “suspected” cocaine packages washing up on Sydney, Central Coast and NSW Mid Coast beaches is still unravelling. By analysing tides and barnacle growth on the packets, investigators believe the haul had been in the ocean for less than six weeks before washing ashore.

Texters rejoice! Apple’s next iOS update will involve autocorrect recognising the difference between the words “ducking” and, well, ducking…Can you froggin’ believe it? Sometimes I love my truckin’ job! But, don’t you just duckin’ hate autocorrect? With the term “damn you autocorrect” having become an acronym (DYAC), a meme, a song, and an Instagram account, Apple have listened, pluckers!It will no longer automatically change the most common of expletives to “ducking”.
