It’s been a while since we’ve seen an over-the-top, goofy, self-aware Black comedy like The Gutter. The flick almost feels nostalgic in its gleeful embrace of 2000s slapstick hilarity. Last week, I had the opportunity to speak to Byron Bowers, Josiah Cross, and Y’Lan Noel from Apple TV+’s new show, Lady in the Lake. Lionsgate kicked off day three of CinemaCon with a bang! The entertainment company previewed over 10 titles from their upcoming slate, and their sizzle reel promises a bright future for the studio. In the captivating montage, they detailed their box office successes and gave us sneak peeks of many films, including an upcoming sequel to Now You See Me. While we didn’t get footage, we were told that a new Blair Witch is in the works, and Margot Robbie and Hasbro are working on a Monopoly film.
