According to many industrial pundits, we’re currently in the fifth industrial revolution, also known to many as Industry 5.0 or, more broadly, the digital era. This era is defined by our increasing use and dependence on artificial intelligence, the widespread deployment of IoT sensors, and robotic automation. The data generated is estimated to have reached 402 exabytes (4.02 1020) per day, and, according to ExplodingTopics.com, in 2025, we’ll generate 181 zettabytes (1.81 1023).
