Kent State head basketball coach Rob Senderoff’s favorite Kent-Akron rivalry memory is from a senior night game that was sent into overtime during the 2022-2023 season. Senderoff has been the head basketball coach of Kent State for 14 seasons. He has led the team in 28 rivalry games against Akron. “They made three free throws at the buzzer to send the game to overtime. Registration is now open for some of Kent State’s intramural sports leagues, with softball registration set to begin March 17, giving students, faculty and staff the chance to participate. While icy conditions increase the risk of slips, many students are choosing fashionable footwear like UGGs, despite warnings about their Sam Timar, a sophomore Kent State nursing major, was walking out of her house, wearing her Tasman UGG shoes and couldn’t see the ice on her steps. “I walked down the steps from my front porch and completely wiped out and fell down the steps,” Timar said.
