The AB Multimedia Arts 4 Students from Southville International School and Colleges are thrilled to announce Memento Vitae, an exciting art exhibit, scheduled to take place on May 31, 2024 to Jun. 09, 2024 at Homezone, Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa, with their ribbon-cutting event to be held at 12:00 noon on the first day. Memento Vitae is a student-organized art exhibit that deeply entwines art and nostalgia.

A fair warning: This article possesses both spoilers on the Dune book series by Frank Herbert and the recent Dune franchise film by Denis Villeneuve. In the song “Manic,” Mikaelle Santelices lets out a scream. From Olivia Rodrigo in “all-american bitch” to Phoebe Bridgers in “I Know The End,” there’s something so freeing when a woman allows herself to yell or squeal, especially in a society that still boxes them inside the Prim and Proper Department. When it comes to vulnerability, the knee-jerk remark would be about possible consequences—baring your soul never seems to be an achievement in itself.

There’s just something about unexpected pairings and the enemies-to-lovers trope that hook us, whether it be as viewers or readers. The funny banter between two unsuspecting characters (who most of the time can’t even stand each other) is just *chef’s kiss*. To top it all off, there’s this satisfaction from their slow burn: how they first try to hide their feelings because they can’t accept their differences, but in the end, they find nothing left to do but embrace them.

Everything must eventually come to an end, and sadly this includes the years of partnership between sociopolitical rappers Calix and BLKD. Like parting announcements usually go, Calix took to Facebook to share the surprising news, citing personal differences as a reason for the end of the partnership. “Matapos ang maraming usapan, at matapos ko pag-isipang mabuti. Malungkot kong ipinapaalam na hinihiwalay ko na ang pangalang CALIX kay BLKD,” the rapper wrote.
