Similar to yesterday, the highest chance for rain will be for folks southeast of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, this is where high river and creek levels continue this morning. Aware: Flood watches may be needed today if we are on the high side of forecast rain totals. Rain returned to the area yesterday, breaking a stretch of five straight days where we had seen no rain and pleasant weather conditions.

KDKA-TV Morning Forecast (5/9) Today will be cooler with highs in the low 60s. Bountiful sunshine won't be enough to overcome a cold airmass now in place. The chilly air will be in place through tomorrow morning, and that is why fairly widespread frost advisories have been issued across our area, with higher elevations along with communities north of Pittsburgh being under the frost advisory for a couple of hours right after sunrise.

This is just outside of the top ten wettest starts to the month when it comes to the first 6 days. So far, we have recorded measurable rain every day this month.
