KDKA-TV Morning Forecast (4/22) It's going to be a damp day today in the Pittsburgh area and the coolest day of the work week. Any Alert Days Ahead? Potential still there for a Friday First Alert Weather Day. Aware: Today will be the coolest of the work week. So far this month, temperatures are running 1.6° warmer than average. We won't see a lot of sunshine today with partly cloudy morning skies and mostly cloudy afternoon skies.

KDKA-TV Morning Forecast (4/21) Stormy weather is expected this afternoon in the Pittsburgh area ahead of a cool front moving into the area. Any Alert Days Ahead? Today could have been one, but I think we will be just below the criteria. Friday may also be a First Alert Weather Day. Aware: Saturday, Pittsburgh was a degree off of setting a record. We hit 86° for the high. The high of 87° was hit in 1941. Strong storms will be possible this afternoon.

The day will start off with overcast skies. I have temperatures going from the 40s this morning to the 60s by 8 a.m., I have us in the 70s by 10 a.m. Most of the afternoon will see temperatures right at 80 degrees. Afternoon skies will be partly cloudy with a brief shower chance for folks north of I-80 coming through after 3 p.m. The record high for today is 90°.

Today will be sunny and pleasant for the afternoon. I have highs hitting 63 degrees. Some high clouds will begin to come back after 4 this afternoon. There will be a brief and low rain chance before sunrise on Friday as a warm front sweeps through. This will push highs on Friday up to the 80s. We won't be anywhere near the record high of 90 degrees on Friday but is anyone complaining?

Things will "calm" down today with wind gusting to just 30mph. Yesterday's weather was driven by a cold pool of air settling in from the north. This cold air will be in place through Thursday morning. Highs today should be near 50 degrees. Morning lows were in the mid to low 30s.
