An award-winning Scottish restaurant that’s in the Michelin Guide will close for good this summer. Fhior, Edinburgh’s multi-award winning restaurant from chef patron Scott Smith will run its closing dinner service on 1 June 2025 and will shut its doors for the last time after the final guest leaves. The restaurant, which has been co-owned by Scott, and his wife Laura, has won numerous awards and is listed in the Good Food and Michelin Guides.

As we head into the Easter weekend, some of us will be treating ourselves or loved ones to a chocolate egg or two. There might even be an egg hunt, or rolling painted eggs down a hill. Most of the traditions of Easter have remained the same, but one trend seems to have disappeared. Back in the 80s and 90s chocolate eggs seemingly all came in a mug. I still have a Terry’s Chocolate Orange one, but they were available for all kinds of brands of chocolate from Creme egg and Smarties to Yorkie.
