The talented 18-year-old, who lives in Rosyth, stepped into the ring in Cardiff on Sunday at the GB Three Nations Championships, and came home with a gold medal. Former Dunfermline High School pupil Niamh, who is a member of Bowhill Miners Boxing Club, defeated England's Laylie Heath in the elite female 60kg category. Her victory was one of 22 that Boxing Scotland competitors enjoyed at the event, and provided the perfect comeback for Niamh, after suffering a hand injury late last year.

In collaboration with Kinross and Kingdom Velo cycling clubs, they are running a 'She Pedals Scotland' event that takes place at Fife Cycle Park on Saturday June 14. Running from 10am to 1pm at Scotland's first, purpose-built cycle circuit, which opened in 2018, there are two options available for those interested in taking part.

Head coach Charles Dignan, and assistant Gregg McSwiggan, also felt fine margins decided their extra-time defeat to Elgin City at Davie Park in Blairgowrie on Sunday. The SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) Central and North title winners met for the right to win promotion to Barclays Scottish Women's League One, and the Pars led 2-1 going into stoppage time.

The club, which is based within the grounds of Queen Anne High School, find themselves top of the Bridge Systems Ltd Scottish League, at both senior and junior level, after three rounds. Also featuring Glasgow Cyclones, Edinburgh Falcons, Border Raiders and Northumbria Vikings, the Fife Revolutions won nine of the 16 senior races, with Kayden Davidson going unbeaten, supported by Jake Slight, Calan Cuthbert and Joshua Falconer, who all gained valuable points.
