MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated undeclared foreign currency worth P24.20 million at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. MANILA, Philippines — Aligned with President Marcos’ directive to ensure public health, smuggled vape products worth over P34 million have been destroyed by the Bureau of Customs (BOC). Up to 159,830 vape products were destroyed in Cavite recently, according to the BOC at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The shipments violated the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act as well as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

MANILA, Philippines — Four suspected victims of human trafficking were rescued at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, according to the Bureau of Immigration. The BI said the four, aged 28, 31, 35 and 43, claimed to be officemates traveling to Hong Kong for a vacation. However, inconsistencies in their statements prompted immigration officers to refer them for secondary inspection where they admitted that a travel agent provided them with the fake documents.

MANILA, Philippines — Security screening officers intercepted a Filipino passenger bound for Hong Kong for not declaring $273,905 or about P16 million in his checked-in luggage on Jan. 22. According to the Office of Transportation Security (OTS) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, the passenger failed to present a clearance or permit from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
