The Dallas Stars scored three times in the third period for a 5-2 Game 3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday in Dallas. It was a controversial game-winning goal that was awarded to the Stars after a lengthy seven-minute video review. It appeared Alexander Petrovic scored the go ahead goal on a kicking motion with the game tied 2-2 in the final frame. The puck went off his skate, and deflected in off the goal stick of Connor Hellebuyck, and it was eventually ruled a good goal.

The Winnipeg Jets are back on even terms in their second round playoff series. The Jets scored twice in the first period and Connor Hellebuyck was tremendous as the Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 4-0 in Game 2 on Friday at the Canada Life Centre. The Jets tied up the best-of-seven series at one game apiece. Hellebuyck made a number of key saves at the end of the second period and finished with 21 stops for his fourth career playoff shutout and first since 2021.

The Winnipeg Jets’ lineup has some question marks heading into their second-round playoff series against the Dallas Stars. Defencemen Josh Morrissey and Logan Stanley both skated on their own in non-contact jerseys ahead of the main skate on Tuesday, although both players left the ice when the practice began. But Mark Scheifele practiced with the rest of his teammates, also in the yellow non-contact sweater after he missed the final two games of their first-round series with an undisclosed injury.
