Sheriff Whittaker revealed Josiah “Joe” Maloon, 57, of 2335 State Route 571, Greenville, is accused of brutally beating and shooting his wife, Juanita Maloon, 53, of the same address, in the head.

I’m very aware of how Councilman Greg White can be perceived as a thorn in the side to the administration with his numerous questions as he tries to understand why the city has an unbalanced budget in the General Fund. His list of questions has been extensive and some of them have been repeated, but I understand why he continues to ask. He has not received the answer he is looking for.

The Darke County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Thursday to celebrate its opening. At the request of the rabbit committee, the board agreed to add a new class for the junior fair rabbit department.
