ENDERLIN, N.D. (KFGO) – A generator is being blamed for a fire that destroyed a shop in rural Enderlin Saturday afternoon. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded shortly after noon and the shop was fully engulfed in flames. No one was in the shop and there were no injuries reported. The Sheriff’s Office says the generator was being used to supply power to the property after the tornado that passed through the night before.

MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Moorhead Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured. Police were called to the 700 block of 15th Street N. around 11 p.m. Sunday on a report of multiple gunshots. Officers spoke with multiple witnesses and found multiple spent cartridges. Later, officers were called to a hospital for a male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police have not recovered a gun or made an arrest.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO/WCCO) – Gov. Tim Walz is reacting to the US military action against Iran by saying Minnesota is on heightened alert, while noting that there’s no known threats to the state. Walz posted his statement overnight on social media. Minnesota congressman Tom Emmer, who’s also the House Republican whip, praised the military action and added that a nuclear Iran poses a threat to the middle east and the world.

ENDERLIN, N.D. (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office released the names of the three victims of the tornado that hit Enderlin Friday night. Michael Dehn, 73, Katherine Pfaff-Dehn, 73, and 89-year-old Marcario Lucio died in the storm. All three were from Enderlin. The Sheriff’s Office responded around 11:40 p.m. after storm chasers found two of the victims and reported it to Enderlin Fire. Enderlin Fire found the third victim and deputies began doing well-being checks.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – Gov. Kelly Armstrong is declaring a statewide sister to help with cleanup efforts after severe weather, including a tornado outbreak that killed three people, ripped through the state Friday night into Saturday morning. “All state agencies and administrators shall activate and utilize their response and recovery resources and capabilities pursuant to the State Emergency Operations Plan.” the declaration says.
