    WEST FARGO — The West Fargo City Commission on Monday, June 2, passed the first reading of an ordinance regulating short-term rentals in the city. The vote came after months of development, starting with a request to the planning department to draft a city ordinance to police short-term rentals such as those listed on Airbnb.com or Vrbo.com. Short-term rentals are considered rental periods of 29 days or less.

    WEST FARGO — West Fargo Commissioners passed an ordinance banning sleeping or living in storage facilities, a concern residents have reported in the past year. Commissioners unanimously passed the ordinance Monday, June 2, that bans living in storage units but also extends to those sleeping in campers parked along streets overnight and those sleeping in tents.

    WEST FARGO — A West Fargo ordinance would make it illegal to sleep in storage units, camp in tents, or spend the night in a camper or trailer on the street. City Commissioner Brad Olson said he requested an ordinance be drafted to prohibit people from living or sleeping in places such as storage units following a local business owner's suspicion that individuals were residing in a nearby storage unit.
