And in Burroughs softball's bid for the CIF Southern Section Division 3 crown, the Bears had their hands in a first-round matchup against visiting Tesoro, and unfortunately, it marked the end of their season. Burroughs lost to Tesoro 10-2 at Olive Park on Thursday, May 15. While the season ends abruptly, there’s no shortage of pride from an eventful season.

A rigorous season for the La Cañada boys' tennis team ultimately culminated in its first CIF semifinals experience, but unfortunately, that’s where the story ends. The Spartans lost to San Marcos, 12-6, on Wednesday, May 14, at La Cañada High School in the CIF Southern Section Division 3 semifinals, but it was a tight battle until the end. While the season comes to an end, a young Spartans squad is already gearing up for another successful campaign.

La Cañada boys' tennis is inching closer to a CIF title. It wasn’t a pretty journey, but the Spartans' come-from-behind victory against La Quinta Westminster earned them another game. La Cañada advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division 3 semifinals with a 10-8 quarterfinal victory over the Aztecs on Monday, May 12, at La Cañada High School.
