FUNDING has been announced to enable a new mobile cinema to tour rural communities across Scotland. The £500,000 Scottish Government grant allows Regional Screen Scotland (RSS) to order a new Screen Machine vehicle to take films to 44 location including the Highlands and Islands, Moray and North Ayrshire. The previous 80-seat vehicle was retired in 2023 after 18 years and 250,000 miles on the road, prompting RSS to start fundraising for a permanent replacement costing £1.7m.

THE Granton Waterfront Regeneration project has taken another step forward with the announcement of a new creative warehouse. The Pitt, which is based at West Shore Road on the Granton Promenade, is set to open The Pitt Warehouse, a 50,000 sq ft warehouse set to host more than 35 businesses, creatives service and community providers. The Pitt Warehouse will reportedly provide essential resources, networking opportunities, and a supportive community atmosphere.
