On the morning of October 13, 1960, Pirates bat boy Bob Recker went through his normal game day routine. You take the streetcar from Bellevue downtown, get on the streetcar, take it out to Oakland, and you get there and you straighten up, get the bats out on the field, maybe *** *** few balls. It was *** dream job for *** 16 year old kid who on that day wound up with *** front row seat for sports history. My back right there. I know that for sure. As seen on this iconic picture.
