A Newcastle brewery is getting set to increase its production after boosting its brewing capacity. Anarchy Brewery, in Heaton, has announced the purchase of an additional four fermentation tanks as it looks to increase production of its most popular ales, as well as one-off bespoke brews. The brewery has earned a growing reputation among drinkers for its range of beers, which are sold online and at pubs and clubs across Tyneside and the wider UK.

June is almost here but is the weather going to improve? The month of May has been a mixed bag weather-wise as the region saw warmer temperatures at the start of the month before needing to put our coats back on towards the end of it. According to Met Office forecasters, as we approach June and the start of the summer months, the North East should start to see warmer temperatures and sunny spells. However, the region may also experience some rainy weather in the coming days and weeks.

A drama school is bringing Legally Blonde to the stage in the North East. Drama Geeks, a South Shields-based drama school, are set to bring four productions of Legally Blonde to The Westovian Theatre, on Pier Parade, on June 21 and 22. All of the children, who are aged between 11 and 17-years-old, are part of the Drama Geeks Associate Class, which is designed for those who are aiming to have a professional career in theatre production.

It hasn’t been a great start to the half-term weather-wise but it is set to improve. It is typical that half-term comes around and the weather decides that it is going to be windy and rainy. However, Met Office forecasters have revealed that Tyne and Wear is expected to see some of the warmest temperatures we’ve seen so far this year as conditions look to head upwards of 20°C.
