Management of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) in pregnancy is challenging. Due to the rarity of these cases a guideline is lacking. We report a case of a 37-year-old pregnant woman who was diagnosed with MM and a malignant spinal cord compression (MSCC) in her third trimester and was successfully managed by a multi-disciplinary team (MDT). This patient presented with left sided thoracic pain which started during the first trimester of her third pregnancy.

HIGHLIGHTS•Above-average level of awareness of malaria control and good medication are observed•knowledge-attitude, knowledge-practice, and attitude-practice positively correlate•Despite its ban in 2004, Chloroquine is still consumed by 4.29% of participants•The majority of people still self-medicate with both conventional and home remedies•Government and other stakeholders should intensify campaigns and sensitization.

Lithium is an element with a complex astrophysical origin and chemical evolution. It is one of the primordial elements produced in the Big Bang and can also be produced through further processes, such as the spallation process and stellar nucleosynthesis. A number of processes have been suggested as sources of lithium, but so far its exact origins and production mechanisms remain unclear (see for example Prantzos 2012; Magrini et al. 2021; Romano et al. 2021).

The ethnoculturally diverse population in Hong Kong, including people with Filipino, Indonesian, and other Asian backgrounds, increased by 41% to 263 593 between 2006 and 2016 (Census and Statistics Department, 2016).
