India, June 26 -- Over a decade ago, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) began planning for two alternate bridges to replace the century-old Mahalaxmi station bridge; all these years later, work on only one is underway. The deadline is October 2026, but an extension is on the cards. Like many other British-era bridges in Mumbai, a structural analysis by IIT Bombay in 2016 called for reducing the load on the Mahalaxmi railway over-bridge (ROB), which goes over the station tracks.

Absurd idea that men don't need love just as much

i was reading this book today that said a man’s primary need is respect, while a woman’s is love. when a wife doesn’t feel loved, she reacts with disrespect & when a husband doesn’t feel respected, he reacts with a lack of love & that’s the “crazy cycle” cause both keep reacting

RT @sabahvir: A little known Mumbai thing: Behind the high security TIFR campus in Colaba is a large art collection largely handpicked by n…

More absurd activities listed in the BMC's budget classified as "climate spends": a swimming pool and sports complex, skywalks, construction of toilets, water pipes and storage tanks, concessions on BEST bus tickets for the disabled, nallah retaining walls, etc etc

Yest, the BMC revealed its climate budget, claiming Rs 17,000 cr will go for climate spends. But under this is everything from a desalination plant, sanitation pad vending machines in toilets to new fire brigades and PAP homes for GMLR, etc. https://t.co/1hipcGg8BQ https://t.co/YhxBaMmcr4
