Dusk comes early to these parts, but tonight it came even sooner. It is the night of the full moon in the first month of the lunar calendar. A veil of mist has dropped on the town of Tashiding, giving the place a Gaussian blur. The ground feels like slush as we join a stream of pilgrims trudging uphill—an old lady carrying a sack of rice on her back refuses any help. There is a swirl of Himalayan languages around us; my guide Siddarth says he can pick up at least six.

If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen the fantastic series called First Guest, where CNT editors take you right inside some of the world’s best new hotels. It’s a 90-second blitz across all the property has to offer. As you can imagine, it is tough to do justice to each space and experience, but I think we do a pretty good job. Now here’s the part you don’t see.

Why book:For a stay that blends classic Jaipur aesthetic with modern comforts in a spot that allows for last-minute shopping raids. Set the Scene:The tuk-tuks may have been tongas, but the bazaar was probably just as buzzy as it is today, when this haveli was built shortly after Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II set up the city of Jaipur. The immediate setting may feel a bit gritty, but The Padmaa scores for its location in the beating heart of the city.

However, prioritizing causal common and rare non-coding variants in human disease, and understanding how selective pressures have shaped the non-coding genome, remains a significant challenge.

With every passing dining experience I have, I realise just how little I know about our country and its food. At Farmlore, near Bengaluru, I learnt that fire ants can be delicious (and crunchy!), and taste different based on the trees they live on. That the tribes of Karnataka know this well, which is the secret to their assortment of chutneys.

Hugely disappointed at change of name of India-England tests trophy from Nawab of Pataudi Trophy to Tendulkar-Anderson trophy. Nawab was the real moderniser of Indian Cricket. At cover he is to prance like a tiger, while other gentlemen found it difficult even to bend. 1/2 https://t.co/as3HzOb3gw

Today we are Brahmos experts.

Great coverage of Sky News of the Muridke camp. Looks like a Brahmos. https://t.co/IGAPsXJ6DD
