    A Cambridgeshire man has denied the murder of a woman who is missing and feared dead. He faces a trial later this year. Karl Hutchings, 47, appeared before Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday (March 19). He pleaded not guilty to the charge of murdering 54-year-old Julie Buckley. Ms Buckley, from the village of Christchurch in Cambridgeshire, has not been seen since late January. Cambridgeshire Police said CCTV footage suggests she was last seen at a Budgens supermarket in March on January 28.

    The son of a woman struck and killed by a bus on the Cambridgeshire guided busway described her death "such a preventable accident", a court heard. Three people died in separate incidents involving Cambridgeshire Guided Busway between 2015 and 2021, Cambridge Crown Court was told. A boy also sustained life-changing injuries. The busway involves a modified bus being guided along a 16-mile route between Cambridge, Huntingdon and St Ives.
