Stater Bros. Markets is opening Wednesday, June 25 in the Greenspot Crossings shopping center in Highland. The store at at 27920 Greenspot Road replaces a longstanding Stater Bros. at E. Highland Ave. The San Bernardino-based supermarket chain notes that the new store, at 46,000 square feet, is nearly double the size of the store it is replacing.

RG Jewelry opened its fourth California boutique on Thursday, June 19 at Irvine Spectrum. Founded by Rachel Karcich with help from her husband, Justin, the concept sells 14k gold jewelry, including an engagement ring series, stacker rings, and limited-edition items available only at the Spectrum store. The Orange County-based company makes most of its jewelry here in Southern California, with operations in Los Angeles.

A spate of small apartment buildings have traded owners in recent weeks. The most expensive transaction closed May 16 in Costa Mesa, where 13 units on nearly 1 acre fetched $661,538 per unit. Victoria Street Apartments traded hands $8.6 million, according to Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. Michael Thornton from the brokerage’s Huntington Beach office represented the family trust who bought the property at 553 Victoria St. as part of a 1031 exchange. The seller also was a family trust.

The home décor retailer At Home will shutter eight of its California stores as it reorganizes in bankruptcy, according to documents filed in Wilmington, Delaware. The Texas-based company, with $2 billion in debt, blamed a “rapidly evolving trade environment” and the “impact of tariff policies” for its decision to restructure and downsize. President Donald Trump’s tariffs have retailers on edge, with many of them postponing sales forecasts for 2025.
