Our model uses the Google TV smart OS, but the TV is also available with Roku TV as well as Fire TV. While all variants share a similar feature set, there are some differences: the Fire TV variant doesn't come with a Game Mode, while the Roku variants have three HDMI ports instead of two and come with Apple HomeKit and Airplay2 support.

The Panasonic Z95A has great HDR brightness thanks to its additional MLA brightness-boosting layer. Combined with its nearly infinite contrast, this TV provides an impactful HDR viewing experience, as bright highlights are very bright and stand out from the rest of the scene. Unfortunately, large bright scenes are significantly dimmer than smaller, specular highlights due to their aggressive Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL).

Compared To Other TVs The TCL S5 is a fairly basic budget TV. While it lacks more advanced features like local dimming, it's cheap, comes in a wide range of sizes, and fits the bill for those who just want a simple 4k TV at a reasonable price. Its picture quality is nothing to write home about, especially for HDR content, but it's a good value option. It even includes some features found on pricier models, like VRR and Dolby Vision/HDR10+ support.

Compared To Other TVs The Samsung QN900D is a great TV, but it has rather limited appeal due to the lack of 8k content available. This means that other high-end 4k TVs, such as the LG G4 OLED or the Sony BRAVIA 9 QLED, offer better image quality overall even with the lack of 8k capability, as they are brighter, have better contrast, and with better image processing overall.

Compared To Other TVs The Hisense 75U8N is an excellent TV overall and doesn't really have any major downsides. Unfortunately, outside of having a wider viewing angle, it performs worse than the sizes that use a VA panel in a few ways. It's dimmer overall (albeit still bright) and has a slower response time.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants We bought and tested the 65-inch LG QNED90T, and the results are also valid for the 75-inch model. The 86-inch model uses an IPS panel, so it performs a bit differently than the other sizes, with worse contrast but a better viewing angle. Internationally, the TV is known as the LG QNED91T, and we expect most of our results to be valid for that model as well.

Compared To Other Projectors The BenQ HT3560 is a decent 4k HDR projector for watching movies in a dark room. It's extremely accurate out-of-the-box but offers only 'alright' image quality due to its okay brightness and contrast.
