A 42-year-old woman from St. Ann, Mo., was seriously injured in a crash Saturday in Callaway County. According to the crash report, the woman was driving a 2009 Toyota Sienna when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The woman was traveling east on Interstate 70 near the 144.2 mile marker. The crash occurred around 2:05 p.m. Saturday, May 10. The woman was transported to University Hospital by emergency responders.

Applications opened on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. The demand was apparent immediately. "There were probably 20 people in line at 9:30," Sam Bushman, presiding commissioner of Cole County, said.
