On Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at about 4:20 a.m., the Belleville Police Service said police were called to a north-end gas station about a disturbance. Investigation revealed a man allegedly involved had an outstanding warrant for breaking and entering, reported police.

In an update Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, police confirmed a 34-year-old from Loyalist Township was facing charges related to possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault, after the incident that took place back on June 10, 2024, resulted in two individuals being airlifted to hospital.

OPP plea for caution amid surge in motorcycle deaths

Following a sharp increase in motorcyclist fatalities in recent weeks, police have issued a public plea. OPP are urging motorcyclists and all motorists to be alert and cautious and avoid all manner of risky driving when sharing the road.
