The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive has been approved by the EU legislators and will have significant consequences for EU and non-EU companies. The way in which the financial sector is dealt with in the Directive creates some uncertainties, in particular for large asset managers in scope. The EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) will be highly consequential for those large EU and non-EU companies that fall within its scope. The majority missed that deadline to finalise their laws.
