One of the UK's largest business networking groups, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has appointed a new chairperson to its south west branch. Ramona Obafemi, who is based in Bristol, will act as regional chair for the whole of the south west region covering Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, and will lead volunteer activity for the area too. This week, President Donald Trump unleashed American “liberation” on global markets, introducing a shockwave of tariffs on imports into the world’s biggest consumer market. Under the new regime, all goods coming into the US will face a universal tax of 10 percent from April 5. Dozens of countries will face much higher “reciprocal” duties from April 9. Most of fashion’s biggest manufacturing hubs featured on that line up. The announcement hit the industry like a tonne of bricks.
