Sally Fielding, owner and manager, and Joe Fielding, manager and Sally’s son, had been delivering pies, breads, sausage, and bacon along with milk during the pandemic. The duo then embarked on a mission to open a permanent place of their own.

Blackburn pub The Fleece Inn being demolished (Image: Paul Lloyd) The demolition of a pub in Blackburn officially started on Thursday (May 8) as part of town centre degeneration plans. Pictures and videos, shared by Paul Lloyd, show The Fleece Inn, on Penny Street, being razed to the ground by an excavator. People have been sharing their memories of the pub, when it was open.

Blackburn Hospital (Image: NQ) The East Lancashire Hospital Trust (ELHT) has issued a statement after relocating one of its treatment centres while "essential work" is carried out. The urgent treatment centre (UTC), which provide medical help when it's not a life-threatening emergency, at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital has moved – although patients have been told it has not gone far as it is just down the corridor. It can now be found in the general outpatients department.

X post sparks debate Man ‘kicked out of Preston Five Guys’ (Image: NQ/Five Guys) A social media post has sparked debate after a man complained about being ‘kicked out’ of a Five Guys in Lancashire. American X user, Peter Della Penna, posted to the social media platform and said England “has the most unfriendly customer service country" and claims he was “chased out” of one of the fast food sites in Preston.

Molly Robbins outside Molly Makes Cakes in Rawtenstall (Image: Molly Robbins) A cake shop in Rawtenstall has been “damaged beyond belief” after being broken into for the third time. Molly Makes Cakes, in Bank Street, was targeted on May 6 at around 3.30am. Pictures show damage left at the shop, with the window display cakes smashed. Glass and debris can be seen on the floor.
