Junction three of M65 (Image: Google) There are delays on the M65 in Feniscowles and M55 in Broughton this morning (June 18) and a traffic and travel website has revealed why. There is heavy traffic on the M65 westbound, from junction four to junction three. According to AA Traffic and Travel, the stretch of road is partially blocked due to an obstruction in the road.

A member of the public said some men were sitting in a car on Montford Road, inhaling gas canisters. Police searched the car and all six gas canisters were seized. The car and all three men were searched for other illegal substances. Nitrous oxide is a colourless gas, also known as ‘laughing gas’. It can be misused for its psychoactive effects – or to ‘get a high’ – by inhalation.

The Thwaites pub underwent a six-week renovation that has breathed new life into the pub. Some of the changes include new garden furniture and festoon lighting outside, as well as a more contemporary interior and bar area. After moving on to the site, at Hall Moss Farm, close to Whitehall Park, the landowner submitted a retrospective planning application seeking a change of use from agriculture to a Gypsy caravan site, including six plots – each with a static and two mobile caravans.
