LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Four people are without a home after a fire broke out just after 6 a.m. Saturday on Park Lane Circle. The City of Lockport Fire Department said when crews arrived at the scene of the home smoke was visible from the second-floor window and was coming out of the second-floor window on the front of the house, but no visible fire had broken through the exterior. The fire started in the kitchen and was quickly extinguished.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department said a person was hit and several vehicles were damaged Friday night. It happened just before 10:30 p.m. at Deerfield Avenue and Fernhill Avenue. Police said a vehicle hit several parked cars before hitting a pedestrian. Accident investigators said the vehicle, a Honda Civic, left the scene of the accident but was located a short time later by police. Police said the pedestrian that was hit was a 47-year-old man from Buffalo.
