SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ – The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Boys Tennis team defeated cross-town rival Union Catholic on Wednesday, April 16, winning four of five matches. All four wins for SPF came in 6-0, 6-0 shutouts. SPF senior Anand Sahasrabudhe won his fourth 1st singles match of the season, against UC junior Ryan Bokina. Sahasrabudhe has only given up four points against his opponents this season and remains as the top player for the Raiders.

SUCCASSANA, NJ – Scotch Plains took their show on the road to Morris County, to beautiful Succassana, NJ on Tuesday, April 15, to face State Power Roxbury #16 in the latest NJ State poll. The visiting Raiders came out swinging with four runs in the top of the first. The Gaels of Roxbury showed why they are ranked and matched that score with four runs of their own in the bottom frame. The Gaels would take the lead in the bottom of the third with a lead-off single.

SUMMIT, NJ – Scotch Plains-Fanwood Boys Tennis won their third match of the season on Thursday, April 10, defeating Oratory Prep 4-1. SPF senior Anand Sahasrabudhe opened the match with a victory over Oratory junior Samuel Goodbody in 1st singles (6-1, 6-1), followed by a 2nd singles win from fellow senior Edward Li, who defeated Oratory freshman Eric Falcone (6-0, 6-1). The Raiders' next two wins would come in both 1st doubles and 2nd doubles.
