Henrico County's Taylor Farm Park received national recognition from the National Recreation and Park Association. The $26 million, 99-acre park opened last summer in Sandston. Around 70,000 people visited the park during its opening week. Since then, it's seen more than 400,000 visitors. Taylor Farm was awarded the NRPA's 2025 Innovation in Park Design Award. That award recognizes park and recreation agencies for their work in design, health and well-being, environmental resilience and equity.

The union, Henrico Education Association, has argued for issues like higher pay, better conditions for teachers such as smaller class sizes and more planning time, and for administration to have better communication with teachers.

The City of Richmond announced that it's successfully repaired the faulty water main at 7th and Canal Streets. Water services have been fully restored, including large areas in Henrico County were water service was under threat. The repair initially started Sunday night, a day ahead of schedule, but officials said the fix was ultimately more complex than expected. That water main is the primary connection between Richmond and areas of Henrico that get water from then city.

One at a time, they picked up speed around a sloped brick turn before speeding toward a ramp and launching themselves dozens of feet straight up into the air. The grass medians and unused sections of the cursive M-shaped track filled with onlookers, some with their bikes and some without. The crew of riders hitting the jump varied from kids as young as 10, to adults who have been riding for decades.
