Libération

Libération, often called Libé, is a daily newspaper based in France. It was established in Paris in 1973 by Jean-Paul Sartre and Serge July, following the protest movements of May 1968. Originally aligned with the far left of the political spectrum in France, its editorial direction shifted to a more center-left position by the late 1970s, where it has stayed as of 2012.
