Ben Larson, 44, turned to drink following the death of his dad when he was just 16 years old. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue responded to several 999 calls reporting a car on fire next to a block of flats in the town. One fire engine was initially sent, however, due to the volume of 999 calls and reports of the fire spreading, a second fire engine was also sent to assist.

Milford Haven Coastguard control paged the crews at Burnham at 8.24pm after a yacht had reported engine failure in the Bristol Channel, shortly before high water. Luckily for the yachts crew, the Bridgwater pilot boat was at sea, and had taken them in tow.
