FAIRFIELD - The Connecticut Siting Council denied United Illuminating's proposal to install steel monopoles between Bridgeport and Fairfield, though the battle some residents have staged against the project for years is not over yet. The council, which regulates utility projects, voted Thursday afternoon during a public Zoom meeting, where four members voted no, two voted yes and one member abstained.

TRUMBULL - T-Swirl Crêpe has opened a sixth Connecticut location at the Trumbull Mall, filling the last vacancy in the food court. Lili Yu, one of the location's four co-owners, said they chose Trumbull as their newest venture because of the foot traffic and convenient location. "Our crêpes are grab-and-go, so I think it's pretty suitable for the mall," Yu said.

TRUMBULL - A new design for the Long Hill Green area will transform it into a more social, walkable destination, town officials say. "Our key assets are our trail, our commercial center and our neighborhood. They will be all connected safely," said Economic and Community Development Director Rina Bakalar.
