Nintendo Australia has dropped its first Nintendo Switch 2 trailer, and they’ve gone with people a little more local than Paul Rudd. The ad features Andy Lee (Hamish and Andy), as well as AFL footballers Patrick Cripps and Marcus Bontempelli who are all playing Mario Kart World and showing off the new Game Chat function on the Nintendo Switch 2. The trailer mainly focuses on Mario Kart World and Game Chat but also shows off the new magnetic feature of the Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s finally time! 5 weeks after the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed and people around the world have been getting hands-on (including us in New York), It’s finally time for the Australian event. It’s taking place in Melbourne on Saturday May 10th and Sunday May 11th at Centrepiece Melbourne (at the Rod Laver precinct) and only those that have a valid ticket will be able to enter.

Super Mario Odyssey will go down as my favourite game on the Nintendo Switch and whilst I was hopeful for some kind of follow-up on the Nintendo Switch, I also had a weird feeling that we’d see a new 3D Donkey Kong game, so when Donkey Kong Bananza was revealed to be in development by the Odyssey team, it really felt like the best possible outcome.

Limited Run Games has announced that the Gex Trilogy will release on June 16th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC on June 16th before a bunch of physical editions release later this year. The Gex Trilogy contains all three games in the Gex series from PS1 and they run on Limited Run’s Carbon Engine and adds save state and rewinds options as well as new widescreen support for the second and third games.

2K has today revealed that Mafia: The Old Country will release on August 8th, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A standard edition of the game will release for $89.95 AUD and a deluxe edition will cost $109.95 AUD and include the Padrino pack which includes special weapons, outfits and accessories. Mafia: The Old Country is an origin story built in Unreal Engine 5 and provides a refined take on the familiar Mafia gameplay set in early 1900s Sicily.
