FREEPORT -- Freeport Police are investigating an early morning shooting near Benchwarmers Grill and Spirits on at 12:32 a.m. Sunday. Officers of the Freeport Police Department responded to report of gunshots being fired at Benchwarmers located at 2143 W. Galena Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, there was a large group of individuals leaving the establishment and the parking lot.
